Wangui Gitahi is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a passion for social justice and human rights. With a diverse background in leading projects on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and refugee protection, Wangui has demonstrated a deep commitment to creating positive change in her community.
As a member of the Law Society of Kenya, Wangui possesses extensive experience in gender-responsive programming, case management, and legal aid. Her expertise lies in project planning and reporting, partnership development, and budget management, which she has successfully applied in various contexts to drive impactful outcomes.
Throughout her career, Wangui has made significant contributions to organizations and initiatives dedicated to advancing reproductive rights, refugee rights, and combating SGBV. Wangui has also excelled in drafting contracts, agreements, and Memorandums of Understanding, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering strategic partnerships.
Wangui holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Nairobi, solidifying their strong academic foundation.
